For the second instalment of this blog, the VC and I decided to try out our local pub, the Golden Star. This is less than a minute from our house, and in my hungover/hangry state I was not arguing about that. Would this pub fair better than The Reindeer? Would my hangover be sated after feeding it like the angry beast it was?
We (the VC and I) headed here after craving a roast dinner, and having a few extra pennies in our back pockets. This came highly recommended from Google, and is only a short walk away from the city centre.
I am northern, and as such, I am passionate about a good Sunday roast, especially gravy. Why is gravy always as thin as gnats piss? Why are you never given enough? Does anyone actually like thin gravy?! Maybe we will never know.
